Hi gaffie! i'm not sure whether speculoos originated from the netherlands or belgium. I think its called speculaas in nl. I first tried it in belgium where it was widely available but i managed to find this in paris at galeries lafayette - the smaller supermarkets don't carry it. I think they have a chunky version now! They don't sell any of the spreads here in singapore though, only the biscuits. =(
